Thinking of buying HS PHEV but need owner advice

Hi everyone, I tried an HS PHEV today and really liked it in the main but had a couple of issues that I was hoping experienced owners could guide me on, before I sign anything! 1. What is reliability like? 2. Blind spot warning lights are in a very odd place, I'm used to them on the mirrors so...

    Mirror assembly blocking drivers view?

Hi everyone, looking for input from experienced HS PHEV owners please. I test drove one this morning and it was a good drive. Had a couple of issues that honest feedback would be useful before I sign anything! 1. Am used to blind spot warning in the mirror not within the door edge, does it work...

Test drive done yesterday HS PHEV - Wow I will have to get one

Well had a test drive in a new HS PHEV Exclusive in Peral white with red leather. It looked fantastic even though it had not had the predelivery completed, registered or cleaned. It was straight as delivered to the dealer with only 8 miles on the clock. I could have waited a few days but...

    OBD Data Thread

Okay, as suggested in another thread, I've been playing with an AutoPi trying to log some useful data, first off here's a screen shot of some data, minus the map of where I am. The bms_status_value helps to decide what the car is doing i.e. idle/driving/charging etc. next is state of charge...

Anyone else swapping from ZS EV to HS PHE?

Having moved from ZS 1.0l to the ZS EV I’m test driving the HS PHEV today. We sold both our iCE cars last year as retired but hiring to do a long journey is a pain and try getting from Devon to St Neots? so back to hybrids maybe ?

    Question Speed sign recognition

Hi there and greetings from Oslo. Really glad I found this Forum. I bought the metallic red MG EHS Exclusive about 6 weeks ago and for the most part I am really happy with it. I was just wondering if anyone knows how I can set the program so that the camera recognizes the speed limit signs. At...

    Charge port cover

MG has chosen really hard plastic for charge port cover. I worry that every time it bangs against the car, it will scratch the paint. EVSE cover didn’t help either. Is slightly softer but not much. I’m doing this but I need something better like Leaf / Outlander: sprung cover that can be opened...

    Time charging

There is an issue with the MG brick or MG PDM. So far from my testing, it only works if the supply is on when the cable is connected. If the supply is disconnected (smart switch in my case), I have noticed no charge when timer kicks in. Never had this issue with Leaf30 or Outlander Phev before...

    Regen and Active Cruise Control

Has anyone noticed that when you use ACC, you don't get any negative values on the power meter, I can't say for sure, but that implies that it is not using the KERS for regen. However going down a hill, or when someone pulls into the space, you can feel it pull back, but still no negative power...

    Flywheel noise

I hear a distinct noise of something significant rotating at low speeds. It disappears when car hits 10 mph. I’m certain this isn’t pedestrian warning system as it has a distinctive whistle is similar to Leaf. Has anyone that observed this?

    Some information required.

I need some answers to questions about the MG EHS. 1) Is it possible to run the A/C on EV mode ? Or does the ICE kick in ? 2) The number plate lighting are incandescent bulbs. Are these interchangeable with leds? Or does it interfere with the CanBus system ? 3) Does the car even have a CanBus...
