MG ZS EV subcompact crossover electric SUV
The MG ZS EV is a subcompact crossover electric SUV produced by the Chinese manufacturer SAIC Motor under the MG marque.

An all electric version made its debut as EZS at the 2018 Guangzhou Auto Show, featuring a 44.5 kWh battery, and a front positioned motor producing 143 PS (141 hp; 105 kW) or 150 PS (148 hp; 110 kW) and 350 N⋅m (35.7 kg⋅m; 258 lb⋅ft) to the front wheels. It is available in the United Kingdom, parts of Europe, Thailand, China, and India.

It was revealed in Australia in November 2020 as the cheapest electric car in the market of all time. MG Australia predicted a sales target of 3,000 unit for the 2021 model year.

Except for China, the electric SUV is officially named as ZS EV, while the official name in China is EZS.

    Tailgate problem

    Anyone else got this issue. When you shut the rear tailgate, it looks closed and there are no warnings bing bongs etc to say that it's not fully closed, this is only highlighted when you try to lock the car and the horn sounds. You have to really shut it hard to ensure that it is closed.

    BT Phone connection

    On the odd occasion, the phone has connected but when I try to make or receive a call the call is connected but there is no sound in or out, anyone else suffer from this? Phone is a Samsung M52 about 6 months old.

    Battery life

    My zs is 10 months old now an where as it always showed 163m range after a full charge now it only shows 162. I have reset the mile per kilowatt button etc. I know this is only 1 mile and not worth bothering but I am just curious, is a gentle reduction over time normal? Thank you

    Changes to ZS EV Trophy Specs

    My dealer contacted me yesterday about the changes to the specifications of the ZS EV. He advised it will not affect existing orders. There is no connect version now as all Trophy versions will have the connect specification automatically, no panoramic roofs will be fitted to any cars ZS, HS etc...
