What happens if you get stuck in the snow for 10 hours

OK the following is for Tesla but it indicates that if you were to get stuck for an extended period of time and you have a decent charge you do not need to worry about your battery going flat.

    ODB2 app for mg5 LR?

Hi all, I have an ODB2 dongle. Is there an app which is compatible with the 5LR that can tell me things like battery SOH? I tried car scanner but looks like it only has option for the standard range. Assume this would not work as batteries are different? Thanks

    Which one do you use?

When sitting at lights or other stop start traffic; which button do you use to not hold your foot on the brake? 1 is to press the P button which puts the car in N neutral, which disengages the drive, then engages the hydraulic emergency brake (hand brake). 2 is the hydraulic emergency brake and...

Hi folks, Has anyone here fitted beam reflectors to their MG5 to prevent dazzling other drivers when in Europe? The fitting instructions don't list our car even though it has been available for around 18 months. Edit: Aha! I've just noticed that the fitting guide hasn't been updated since...

    Any MG jokes out there

I’m quite new to this forum but wondered if there were any MG jokes worth laughing at. I remember Skoda led the field with these. One I remember was, Why do Skoda’s have a heated rear window? To keep your hands warm while you are pushing it.

    Driving with my Flap open

Cant believe I’ve done it again! I drove 70 miles to work and reversed into a space, unloaded the car, locked it and walked away. On return after work the flap was open. Not for the first time this has happened. Thankfully fully no damage caused, but it’s also the socket cover hanging too. I’ve...

MG5 LR rear screen heater not demisting completely

Anybody experience a problem with the rear screen heater not demisting the lower 2-3 inches of the rear screen (as in the attached picture)? Called my local dealer who implied this was 'by design' but frankly I don't believe them given there are clearly heating elements in the area. Wondering...

    Eeking out range

It feels like many EV drivers are on a mission to absolutely maximise their range/minimise their cost by sacrificing warmth, comfort, travel time, fun etc etc. I'd be tending towards this if I knew I had to "public charge" on a long trip but how many ever even thought or cared about it when...
