    Nice Wheels

Has anyone cleaned their MG5 wheels, yet? I do like the look of the wheels but they are a bit of a challenge to clean. Also, after less than 2000miles I have found that brake dust has built up on the inaccessible inner part of the "spokes" and doesn't come off easily. I can envisage the alloys...

    Steering Lock Squeal?

Hi all, we've just hit about 1000 miles on our EV5 and it has recently developed a very metallic squeal when manoeuvring at full steering lock, not every time but it is very noticeable from time to time in car parks and reversing out of our drive onto the road...it doesn't sound like tyre...

Around £40 in total with 3 rapid charges, a couple of Tesco freebys and a couple of granny charges overnight which I gave...

Check List for picking up new car

I'm still awaiting delivery so was mulling over what to look out for when I pick the car up. It's so easy to miss something significant because you're caught up in the moment and that's where a pre-prepared check list can be useful. I've done a brain dump of that which comes to mind based on my...

    Wing Mirror messy rubber 'Gasket'

Hi all, I meant to publish sooner, but I am not great at keeping up with forums so you have to forgive me if I am not on here very much, but I thought this might be helpful for those buying an MG 5 EV for the first time. Has anyone else noticed a messy 'gasket' between the wing mirror and...

Halogen bulbs to be banned in UK from September

In the news: Halogen bulbs to be banned in UK from September Google the headline to any article on the above title. Considering the number of threads on here regarding upgrading to LED's this ban may well put the issue to rest. I can not see anything so far on the internet referring to vehicles...

    MG5 Motor and transmission noise

My MG5 makes a high pitched motor/transmission whine when accelerating or slowing, especially at lower speeds. Quite a nice soothing sound actually. :-) But there is a lower pitched rougher grating/rumbling sort off noise quite noticeable when going into overrun, regardless of kers setting, at...

    Grab Handle Driver's Side

This may have been posted before. As I am disabled I would need support in getting out of the MGZS ev. There is no internal grab handle above the door on the drivers side but there is on the passenger side. Has any member had one fitted, or can the one on the passenger side be swopped over?

Who has done the most miles?

Just wondering how many miles you have all done in your MG 5 please? I am looking to buy one to use as a taxi and was curious about reliability for those who have done higher mileages. Thanks

Any downside/dealer warnings about only using 'granny charger' every day?

When I took delivery of my MG EP EV (Same as UK MG5) here in Thailand, the saleswoman, who of course spoke only Thai, warned that we should not charge only with the granny charger, and that if we do, that once every week we should use the dealership Type 2 AC fast chargers (for free, but 4.5...
