    A couple of general questions

Hi folks, I'm picking up "Sparky Norman" (it's replacing "Spiny Norman", our 5yr old Citroen Cactus :)) tomorrow, and had a couple of unrelated Q's. Firstly, if you floor the accelerator in "Eco mode", do you temporarily get full power for overtakes like an auto-box, or, if you want a quick...

    Internal boot dimensions

Reading through as many reviews as possible trying to find the internal dimensions of the MG5 boot, all I can find is capacity in litres but no actual dimensions. I have a tent thats roughly 40" wide - can anyone tell me if that's too big for the boot please?

    MG5 Tow bar again

I'm still confused! I'm pretty sure you can't fit a tow bar to the MG5 but a local MG dealership has just confirmed you can. I'd be looking to tow a small trailer so nothing major. Does anyone else have any further info please? Much appreciated.

What do you value most in your EV?

I asked this question on the most recent Podcast, but I thought I'd open it up here for more general discussion. If the ZS EV and the MG5 had the same range (say 250 miles), and if they both had the same technology (MG Pilot, roof loads, panoramic roof etc), and if they both cost exactly the...

    M.P.G.

As I’m enjoying the huge savings on a day to day basis now and again I work out a virtual m.p.g. for my #teamred 5. Yesterday a return trip to Oxfordshire consisting of regular 70mph when I can, driving in Eco there and Normal coming home. I reckon 70mph limit accounts for 140 of the 170 miles...

    Creep while in reverse.

I notice something today and I'm not sure whether it's a feature or just coincidence. I was close to a wall behind the car and changed from park to reverse, it didn't creep as I released the break. I had to press the accelerator gently to inch backwards. I'm wondering whether it uses the...

    Pre-heating interior on cold mornings

I know you can't set the MG5 to "pre-heat", but can you start it and set the defrost running for a awhile when it's on the juice (i.e. unattended)? Not as convenient I know, but at least it would defrost your screen etc. whilst on the mains....

    Taking the plunge

Hi Folks, another one joins the club; following an enjoyable test-drive this weekend, I placed my order with Budgen MG at Shrewsbury, who were very pleasant and helpful, and am due to collect next week. The MG5 certainly seems the best "bang for the buck", and well screwed together. I lurked...
