    Ending Rapid Charge

Hi Apologies if this has been answered - I've searched the forum... Just picked up an MG5 and I tried my first rapid charge. The Pulse charger wouldn't respond to the app so I phoned, and a very helpful lady said that there was a communication issue between the app back end and the charger...

    Pleased with my new car

Car arrived today. I was a bit worried as I wasn't able to take it for a test drive. I had nothing to worry about. It's fantastic. It drives like a high end Audi or BMW. If you're considering buying one, I would say go for it. One of my neighbours and a colleague at work are going to get one...

Navigation: Agree to the Ts and C's each time it's turned on. Really?

Hi all. I'm getting increasingly irritated by having to Agree with the navigation system terms of use, Each. And. Every. Time I invoke the damn thing. It's slow enough to initialise anyway! Is there any way to do a one time agreement - at least until the device gets a factory reset when I pass...

    Photos of your car needed

Hi folks, could someone please pop a tripod in front of their MG5 and take two photos? The angle needs to be like this: The first photo with the flap open and the cable plugged in. The second photo with the flap closed. The tripod is needed to make sure the camera doesn't move so that both...

    Charging when finished?

Any thoughts on the car keeping charging when it claims to be finished. Just keeps drawing 10A from start to finish and shows no sign of stopping even when the in-car display claims to be 100% finished. Would expect current to fall away as it gets closer to full until it finally stops?

182 miles as a pickup journey without charging?

I'm picking up my new mg5 at the beginning of April. I'm a little nervous about charging as I've never used a public charger before. Do you think a fully charged mg5 could make the 182 mile trip without a recharge? (eco mode, max speed 60, and wooly hat if needs be!). Apart from the first...

Why is it called a "Granny" cable?

Try as I might, I cannot find why the cable for charging from a 13A socket is called a "Granny" cable. Is it because your old granny wouldn't know how to use a charger but could plug her car in like plugging in her kettle? Does anyone know the definitive answer to this question?
