Navigation: Agree to the Ts and C's each time it's turned on. Really?

Hi all. I'm getting increasingly irritated by having to Agree with the navigation system terms of use, Each. And. Every. Time I invoke the damn thing. It's slow enough to initialise anyway! Is there any way to do a one time agreement - at least until the device gets a factory reset when I pass...

Is anyone else having issues? I regularly do a +70mile trip to a work place therefore over 140 miles in a day. My issue is, I can never leave the car plugged in and trust the car & box to charge to 100% by the morning. I contacted ev.energy and basically the situation is that as I am on a...

    Photos of your car needed

Hi folks, could someone please pop a tripod in front of their MG5 and take two photos? The angle needs to be like this: The first photo with the flap open and the cable plugged in. The second photo with the flap closed. The tripod is needed to make sure the camera doesn't move so that both...

    Charging when finished?

Any thoughts on the car keeping charging when it claims to be finished. Just keeps drawing 10A from start to finish and shows no sign of stopping even when the in-car display claims to be 100% finished. Would expect current to fall away as it gets closer to full until it finally stops?

182 miles as a pickup journey without charging?

I'm picking up my new mg5 at the beginning of April. I'm a little nervous about charging as I've never used a public charger before. Do you think a fully charged mg5 could make the 182 mile trip without a recharge? (eco mode, max speed 60, and wooly hat if needs be!). Apart from the first...

Why is it called a "Granny" cable?

Try as I might, I cannot find why the cable for charging from a 13A socket is called a "Granny" cable. Is it because your old granny wouldn't know how to use a charger but could plug her car in like plugging in her kettle? Does anyone know the definitive answer to this question?

    MG5 2021 Facelift

So we just bought our MG5 Excite and are so far very happy with it. We bought now as I was guessing when MG brings out the next MG5 model it will be more MG, less SIAC, and therefore more expensive...and it looks like we weren’t wrong: New 2021 MG 5 EV facelift steps up to 249 miles of range |...

    Auto hold function

    Windscreen wiper scraping bonnet

I washed my MG5 for the first time today and found that the passenger side wiper scraps the rear edge of the bonnet when lifting it up to wash the windscreen. The pivot end of the arm is too wide. I guess this is a right hand drive conversion design issue. Any one else found this ?

    Balance charge MG5

Why does the car say 100% Finished when it's still balancing, drawing about 400W as indicated by the green light on my Pod Point charger and on my Smart meter monitor ? Shouldn't there be an indication from the car that it's balancing ?

Current trip m/kWh retained after switching off.

Anyone noticed the current trip screen info is retained after switching off, unlike the ZS. Often in the ZS I forget to check the journey's m/kWh before switching off and switching it back on resets it to ---- In the MG5 it retains it and I can check it by switching the car back on if I forgot...

Picked up my new MG 5

So I picked up my new MG 5 today at 17:00hrs in Burnley. It had 97% on the battery when I got in it and I had a 98 mile journey to do. The journey home is approx 70% motorway driving. I had it in Eco mode with the lights and heater on, the outside temp was 8 degrees. I was driving normally...
