Has anyone on here hardwired in a dashcam to the MG5 yet?

Has anyone on here hardwired in a dashcam to the MG5 yet and if so, any issues, which fuse(s) did you use etc.? It seems the fuse box is on the driver side - I've previously fitted dashcams to my wife's Fiesta and then to her new Zoe and in both cases they were on the passenger side and easily...

If the ZS was given the MG5 treatment...

It looks like MG are constantly improving. If the ZS was given the updates that the new MG5 has, it would add to an already good car, and cover a lot of the key points many have made. improvements made on the MG5 include; ✅larger battery - this on the ZS might add another 30miles to the range...

My first 1000 EV miles of steep learning...

Just got to 1,000 miles. Got the car on Dec 29 and had to trickle charge at home until 13 Jan when we had a Rolec home charger installed. I have realised I didn’t do enough research before placing the order for the 5. Considering some of the pros and cons I thought range would be good for 200...

    Leaf to MG5, thoughts?

So I've been considering the MG5 since just before it's launch, and still am. The roof rails were an issue, but 35kg is better than nothing, so can use it for the kids bikes. Range is just down on what would be ideal for our main car, but more than enough for all but 5-6 trips a year, and a...

Family reaction to the new car

My son-in-law pitched up with the grandkids a day or so after I'd picked up the new car. The oldest grandkid got out. His dad pointed him gently towards where I was standing near the MG. He'd primed the lad for something. It was transparently obvious. With a big grin all across his face the 9...

ACC mode time out - can this be changed?

I got into the MG5 to wait for Mrs Fluffykins to get back from her walk. I had pressed the start/stop button without my foot on the brake pedal, so the car came on in Acc mode and I could have the radio on. Nice. After 5 minutes the car turned off and the radio quit, so I had to press...

Snow driving, best to use ECO mode?

I drove approximately 40 miles today with all the snow. Very impressed with how the MG5 handled even with the stock tyres. I put it in ECO mode as I find the acceleration less sharp so thought this would be best for driving in snow. Any others venture out in the snow today?

  12. First long journey

Had to drive from Havant (near Portsmouth) to Bethnal Green in London yesterday (with police approval). Round trip of 150 miles. Used eco setting for most of the journey and stuck to speed limits so I wasn't driving like 'Miss Daisy ' but close to it. Aircon was on economy auto at 20-22. Phone...

    Another new member

Hi everyone, Picked up our MG5 Exclusive just before Christmas. Very happy with it so far. It's great to drive, comfortable and spacious. We traded in a 4 year old MG6 and a 2 year old new shape MG3 against it and were really happy with the deal we got from Unity MG. It's got a reasonable amount...

    Charge stopping between 65-75%?

Hi all, had this happen on two occasions on my 5, once on a rapid charger at 75% and at home on a 7khw at 67%, has anyone else experienced this? Had to unplug and reconnect. Booked into mg for Wednesday but they said they are inexperienced and could take a while to diagnose!

    New owner saying Hi

Hello all, hope everyone is well under current circumstances! Picked up my 5 in silver on 31st! So far have done 200 miles. As a commuter avoiding trains this seemed to fit the bill, a relatively cheap car that avoids congestion and ulez charges. Driving my usual route of 125 miles and my...
