MG4 Trophy Focus Warning Alert (Fix incoming)

Well my car has been at the dealer now for nearly 8 weeks waiting on the fix for permanent drowsiness monitoring system fault. I've got a big standard ZS in the meantime but I'm getting pretty hacked off now to say the least. Not really sure how to escalate this in terms of getting a similar range replacement or even rejecting it. Really just want my 4 back as it was great for the 5 weeks I had it!

That seems a ridiculous length of time for it just to be sat at the dealers. Why can't they let you use it until the fix is available?

8 weeks? That’s ridiculous! No way on earth would I be allowing a dealer to hold a car that I owned for that length of time. That’s a disgrace in all honesty. I’d be looking into rejecting it at this point and advising the dealer accordingly, maybe giving them a deadline to have the car returned to you.

I just turned off the sound - after a while you hardly notice the alert popping up on the dash as your mind learns to ignore it

Yeah, to be clear, I was living with it like that then it went in for the infotainment watermark update and now the options for Drowsiness monitoring system are missing and it sounds a constant fault chime that the module is faulty.

Exactly the same problem. Software update takes away the ability to silence. Just keeps bonging often and random, even when parked.
So annoying.

Ah that’s not good, had mine in at dealers today for breather pipe change, they said they had put on all latest software updates, but the drowsiness settings were still there, the update didn’t fix it and I still have the intermittent airbag fault warnings - the service guy said MG are aware of both the systems is intermittently reading incorrect resistance on the airbag circuit or something like that

Exactly the same problem. Software update takes away the ability to silence. Just keeps bonging often and random, even when parked.

What is the infotainment watermark update? Is that to remove the preproduction hardware not for resale notice on Google maps? Just trying to work out which update I do not want. Hate the driver monitoring system and if I lose the ability to silence it I just will hate the car

Hope this helps. Supposedly the latest update that does away with the ability to silence fatigue. Coffee cup disappears too

Curdy, it could be that the 1/3 of your rear windscreen not demisting belongs to the radio antenna. Here’s a video explaining this:

1300R29 is not the latest Infotainment version for the Trophy ... other people already have 1300R30.

1300R29 is not the latest Infotainment version for the Trophy ... other people already have 1300R30.

Weird, Dealer assured me it's upto date. Any idea what the latest version is? 1300R30 clearly no good.

I have an SE SR with 1100R13 (the latest observed for that version) ... other people here have reported 1300R30 for their Trophies. @meicd has a thread here where various version numbers are recorded.

1300R30 is surely just the Infotainment software version isn't it, not any of the control systems?
