Topped up my MG5 last night with the 7.5p/kWh new rate. Put in 26.9kWh at a cost of £2 which is 65p more than the old rate, but still a saving on petrol/diesel equivalent.

Anyone signed up? I don't think there is anything to lose, and doesn't cost anything to join?

My SEG contract with OVO energy ends in a few weeks time. I was paid last year at a rate of 4p/unit and exported 919kWh to receive a total of £36 for the year. I do hope today's rates are much higher now, I'd be interested to hear what's being offered by other companies.

Having charged the MG5 to 100% last night I noticed this morning that the range was now showing as 247miles. I guess this is because of warmer weather helping extend battery life. A month ago I could only get max range of 203 miles on a fully charged battery. David

Can anyone with a Project EV charger tell me what is the difference between the charging rate "Solar" and "Solar +" I've tried both and can't see any difference. In the manual it says the solar rate limits the power to 1kW between 8am and 8pm but does not mention anything about "Solar +". Thanks

Have recently installed solar pv and FoxESS battery storage system. Also recommended to switch to Octopus Go for the 5p night time tariff. Was told you can also charge up the battery as well as car during this tariff (12.30am - 4.30am). However, the overnight charge to the battery did not work...
