I opened the app today and again got the Token/login issue, but was able to login OK. However I noticed that the HVAC temperature had been reset to 22C (I'd previously set it to HI), and the biometric function had been turned off. (I don't recall though whether I checked these after doing the v2.0.1 update, so it may have been that update which reset them).

Something to monitor going forward.

Yes same here. I have tried that multiple times without success. I can get as far as the login screen. But no further because it will not allow me to select the country code. Complete and utter shambles I am afraid. So frustrated that I have given up with the app.

Everyone needs to give one star reviews on the App Store or the Google store. last time when they removed imperial units the feedback on the App Store got them to sort it out within a few days.

It is totally unbelievable that software that is this appalling ever gets released.

Quite agree. I have done that plus terrible comments. Don't know if anyone is taking any notice though.

Anyone know how to get Iphone to save login and password ? I have keychain enabled and it works with other apps but not MG Ismart. My email shows but I have to type in password everytime.

On my Android phone it saves both.

You can add a password to your saved passwords on iPhone. Just make up a website - I think I typed mg123456.something.co.uk (not exactly that, but you get the idea)

Ah another person with same issue I noticed this morning. I set mine to 27 yesterday and it seemed to stay all day, but then was back to 22 this morning. I wonder if it was since updating to 2.0.1 that it reset, hopefully not something that keeps resetting each day.

Updating the app definitely removed the tick from the Face ID option, as I had to re-enable it after the update

The seat heating in the UK is nowthe right way round so heating the drivers seat in the app actualy heats the drivers seat!

But the very frequent logout that then resets most of the settings and they still dont have password manager support. This makes the face/touch id option useless as you would have to enable it each time you login.
Looks like they are going for theme support but currently just 1 light theme and presumably this would reset on logout too.

Face ID only seems to be an Apple app option ... in the Android app there's only Biometric (which is fingerprint - at least in my case, even though my phone will face unlock).

I don't have to remember my password - my (Android) phone prompts it whenever I open the app and need to login. (So at least this issue isn't a show-stopper for me).

Resetting everything when it logs out is really annoying. This app clearly wasn't tested properly before release. This is basic stuff.

Has anybody found out yet if the car needs to have a certain version installed to be able to connect through the app?
I can logon, the app remembers my car but I get the error "The remote control instruction failed. Try again later".

The app doesn't connect directly to the car, it goes via Amazon's cloud services.
I think it gives that error when the cloud server hiccups.

Now v2.1 released, mostely fixed the issues, if you don't see battery % try unlock/lock to wake up the system. Climate now works with out the plug in.

Do you mean 2.0.1? That came out later in the day yesterday and doesn't noticeably change anything (on the Android version at least, other than removing the banner message when you close the app). Android and Apple version numbers are now the same I believe.

IOS update hasn't worked for me, face ID doesn't work, Request Times out for all car data, try to unbind and I input the code but there isn't a button to confirm. All in all a complete s***show.

You might need to set the pin again.

3 stars.
The app is ok. Could be better, the login token timeout is a temporary glitch I’m sure will get fixed soon enough.
You don’t motivate people to do better by leaving 1 star reviews. At most they’ll get fed up and stop development all together.
It’s not like the app is a joke or completely broken. The digital key now seamlessly integrated with the 4g key is a great improvement and deserves recognition.
