Didn’t seem to work for me. The setting came back on ?If it hasn't been already, I think this tip should be added to the MG4 Hints, Tips and Solutions thread!

Not until we have absolutely, definitely, 100%, confirmation it works ?If it hasn't been already, I think this tip should be added to the MG4 Hints, Tips and Solutions thread!
Didn't work for me, either. It's turned itself on again.Didn’t seem to work for me. The setting came back on ?
I have just picked up my new MG4 Trophey Long Range and it looks like they are no longer putting this in the cars, no sensor on my steering wheel.Drowsiness warning
Anyone figured out how to turn this off permanently? It was driving us insane today! Turn it off on system setting - a few minutes later off it goes again and has re-enabled itself - rinse & repeat
Mine's been in that state for a few weeks. Warning message on starting, coffee cup and triangle. It would be nice to declutter the dash a bit though as it does verge on info overload.Didn't work for me, either. It's turned itself on again.
Edit: Today I got an alert saying that there's a fault with the system and now I get a warning triangle. The coffee cup remains top left but I don't get any drowsiness warning messages. It keeps life interesting when your car does different things each day!![]()
Did you have to pay extra? ?. I'm thinking that MG will bring out a new top range version with half of the extras taken away!I have just picked up my new MG4 Trophey Long Range and it looks like they are no longer putting this in the cars, no sensor on my steering wheel.
Mine is the same and has been for a few weeks, was back in at the dealer this week and they've said that's how it is for the moment until MG issues a fix.Mine's been in that state for a few weeks. No, did not pay any extraDid you have to pay extra? ?. I'm thinking that MG will bring out a new top range version with half of the extras taken away!
the drowsiness sensor sound seems to have been permanently disabled by the dealer
the latest batch of MG4's do not have the sensor on the steering column
I suppose it is possible they just ran out of them and decided to omit and we'll get the sensor back again.A pragmatic solution.
Interesting, but those cars were built before the first cars were delivered so if a problem existed why wasn't it dealt with on the first cars before delivery?
Here in Norway a dealer told me that cars sceduled to be delivered in 2023 should be without the drowsiness camera/alarm.I suppose it is possible they just ran out of them and decided to omit and we'll get the sensor back again.
Picked mine up from Chorley and the drowsiness senor was also disabled, coffee cup and warning triangle still appear on the display which does not bother me, my friend picked hers up from Chorley and her car was also disabled, hopefully these warning lights will be removed at first service.Collected my MG4 Trophy today and the drowsiness sensor sound seems to have been permanently disabled by the dealer but the coffee cup and warning triangle still appear on the display. Apparently, this is going to be resolved by MG at some point. The dealer also confirmed that the latest batch of MG4's do not have the sensor on the steering column.
Does that mean that there is no drowsiness monitoring at all then for the driver if the sensor has been removed? Did you get a discount seeing as the car is advertised with that system and now no longer has it? Or does it monitor a different way do you know?I have just picked up my new MG4 Trophey Long Range and it looks like they are no longer putting this in the cars, no sensor on my steering wheel.
I’d consider paying them to remove it. It isn’t a system I want on a car.Does that mean that there is no drowsiness monitoring at all then for the driver if the sensor has been removed? My dealer mentioned that MG had added the system as a helping hand to adding safety features to the car, and allowing it to hit a higher NCAP ratingI’d consider paying them to remove it. It isn’t a system I want on a car.
