An all electric version made its debut as EZS at the 2018 Guangzhou Auto Show, featuring a 44.5 kWh battery, and a front positioned motor producing 143 PS (141 hp; 105 kW) or 150 PS (148 hp; 110 kW) and 350 N⋅m (35.7 kg⋅m; 258 lb⋅ft) to the front wheels. It was revealed in Australia in November 2020 as the cheapest electric car in the market of all time. MG Australia predicted a sales target of 3,000 unit for the 2021 model year.

Except for China, the electric SUV is officially named as ZS EV, while the official name in China is EZS.

How to reduce Android Auto phone battery drain by over 50%

Since I started using Android Auto (via USB connection) I've noticed there is a heavy battery drain and the phone gets quite warm. After a bit of searching this looks like a common problem. I've recently installed an AA Wireless adapter and found the drain is even worse. The first screenshot...

Making my dumb Rolec charger a smart one for under £20

I've seen a few comments on posts which have suggested using a Shelly 1 Switch to upgrade a dumb charger to allow timed charging. Well now I've done it and I can confirm: 1. It works 2. It's relatively easy to install (I’m no genius and I did it) 3. Cost me under £20 and saved £800 on...

Am I right in thinking you still need to hardwire for data transmission - i.e. Android Auto? If so the facility is not as useful as I thought. MG ZS EV headlights out of adjustment from new - Anyone else?

I have just realised why my dipped, but especially me main beam is so naff. The nearside light is pointing into the left kerb, and up into the trees and hedges. Absolutely not point at the road ahead - where all I have is essentially a black triangle in the road 10m+ ahead. I understand the...
