mg4

The MG4 EV is a battery electric small family car (C-segment) produced by the Chinese automotive manufacturer SAIC Motor under the British MG marque. First released in June 2022 as the MG Mulan in China, it is the first vehicle to be based on SAIC's battery electric Modular Scalable Platform (marketed as the Nebula platform in China). It was introduced in Europe as the MG4 EV in July 2022.

    MG4 Charging Cable

    Ive heard the MG4 only comes with a £150 13A charger cable and not a £99 type 2 cable that nearly all non rapid chargers come with. Is this true? My Leaf came with both, and the MG dealer wont supply the Type 2 cable if the car doesnt come with it.

    Home AC charging

    Based in Australia with single phase 240V. I got a sparkie to install a 20amp outlet in the wall sometime ago. Recently got the MG4 but when I plug it in via portable charger, I only see 1.7kw as opposed to 3.8kw. Did the sparkie do a shoddy job or am I missing something?
