mg4
The MG4 EV is a battery electricsmall family car (C-segment) produced by the Chinese automotive manufacturer SAIC Motor under the British MG marque. First released in June 2022 as the MG Mulan in China, it is the first vehicle to be based on SAIC's battery electric Modular Scalable Platform (marketed as the Nebula platform in China). It was introduced in Europe as the MG4 EV in July 2022.
I've been in contact with Rhino UK Bootliners Ltd. in Leicester who produce car boot liners which are made to fit with the back seats folded down so if like me you put two largish dogs in the back of your MG or push-bikes etc they might be worth looking at.
Although they don't have the MG4...
I did a rather silly thing last week. I got to the multi-storey car park near the theatre, and connected the car up to one of the type 2 chargers there. I reached into the back seat for handbag and stuff, closed the rear passenger door, and forgot to press the door button on the driver's door...
Hi, just picked up Trophy few days ago and just cant get Android Auto to connect to mine and mrs Huawei P Smart and Samsung Flip phones, as soon as it you plug in, Android Auto tries to load on the car display then just returns back to the in car system, with error code 18 or 11 on the phone...
Well I've gone and done it, traded the old faithful Red Gen 1 ZS for a Volcano Orange MG4 Trophy long range, I pick it up on the 3rd of June.
I initially enquired about the 0% finance deal that ends June 30th at our local dealers, thinking maybe it was too late due to delivery times and was told...
Warning to owners of orange MG4s who were thinking of cleaning their cars today. Greenfly love orange!
I decided to take the opportunity to wash the car today as there wasn't any direct sunshine. Big mistake, first I found my first stone chip (?) and next I had a swarm of kamikaze greenfly...
I mentioned this in another thread but nobody came back to me on it, so I thought I'd start a new thread.
Lots of people (including some MG4 online reviews) have mentioned that you have to crank the temperature way up to get decent heating from the car. Certainly mine is like that. I have...
Picked up my new orange Trophy on Saturday (p/x for MG5) and all great apart from I can't get to the end of the binding process.
I've followed all the possible options posted both here and on other forums i.e delete and re-install app, give app location permission, factory reset the car, try...
Scheduled charging almost always works for me, but twice now, it has failed to start and I have absolutely no idea why. The settings are always the same, using the same schedule on the zappi with eco+ set to 100%.
I set plug in the car, make sure the yellow lock symbol is set to open on the...
Hi,
I broke the charging door pin when struggling to close it during the cold weather earlier on in the year. I have since learned by my mistake but I would really like to fix it without having to spend hundreds on an entirely new door. The charging door pin is actually a removable part which...
Hi all,
I noticed of late that the distance is fine and very clear but the near side throw is further than the off side. I can only assume it’s set up for LHD hence this difference.
Can I ask, has anyone else noticed this? Can I adjust just one without he others? I know there’s already a...
I see all the comments on here about the Born and others et al. I really rate my MG4 Trophy, sure there are a couple of niggles some of which are minor and repairable some of which I will have to put up with (everything in life has a compromise) and bearing in mind that this is not a Rolls Royce...
My windscreen washers don't actually hit the screen the dealer says there are only three adjustments and none of them are particularly good at hitting the screen, is this correct? Any one else having this problem and if so how was it rectified ?
I was leafing through my paper MG4 manual (thanks Sloucher!) but couldn't find how to switch off the alarm system to avoid it going off on a bumpy crossing. Portsmouth to Wooton Creek was fine, but given I've crossed the channel bouncing out of my bunk on a ferry (let alone in a number of...
They literally just poking above the window gutter.
I mean honestly for the price sure if it shaves off a few quid. I just thought it was mildly interesting.
N.b, this car is so hard to clean, and keep clean.
I am sorry if this is a repeat of a previous conversation.
I have had my Trophy for a month. I have made 2 journeys to test the SatNav. In both cases, where I chose to ignore the specified route (because I knew better) or selected an alternative route from the Satnav, I ended up being directed...
