When I try to use my rear screen washer water can be heard swishing in the top right end of the dashboard on my MG5EV. I think the pipe may have been pushed apart during a frost. Water can be seen dripping from below the dash onto the drivers side door post.
How can I gain access to that upper...
Lazy Clock (long press on key fob opens / closes all four windows together) caught me out again today when my key fob got pressed whilst in my pocket.
Has anyone succeeded in disabling the feature on an MG5 SR non-facelift? Can't find anything about it in the manual so I assume it isn't possible.
My lovely faultless MG5 was destroyed in the fire at Luton Airport, only 11 months old.
So, as a real MG fan, I thought… let’s buy exactly the same again as it was a really good car.
My current one is a total nightmare… took delivery with 14 miles on the clock.
I rejected after only 13 days...
Car arriving after Christmas but tried to load app and register today. Having difficulty registering as I receive a code, add password and confirm but then nothing happens. I have tried at least 6 times. Advice most welcome.
Had my first service ( just under 6000 miles) on Friday plus an outstanding update, not sure what the update was should have asked I suppose all covered by the service plan, but great service from WLMG Reading. Dropped car of at 8:30 on way home at 10:15.
Then just as you think things are going...
Apologies if this is a silly question, but is there an optimum speed to aim to drive at to keep the battery as charged up as much as possible between chargers on a long journey on motorways/ A roads. I realise at 60mph you use less battery than 69mph but would driving at 50 ( if safe) help. I...
I have a wall socket 3 pin plug. I read it will take a very long time to charge and I need to charge overnight as fully as possible, what advice can anyone give me please
I've had an issue for a couple of months not serious but thought I'd post to see if it's a potential problem or not .
When driving along the heater lights flash up without warning momentarily . After a while I noticed the headlights were coming on at the same time . On further observations , it...
In the bad old days of ICEs and their ignition systems, I was advised not to leave the ignition switched on with the engine off, for fear of damaging the coil. On older cars there wasn't even an Aux position on the ignition switch, so if you wanted to listen to the radio while waiting for your...
I picked up my car from the dealership on the 1st Dec after they had it for three days while they investigated the problem first identified to MG in August and documented in threads/rapid-charger-connects-but-fails-to-charge post-248066 . The software was checked and updated as necessary - as of...
Hello everyone,
I just rented a MG HS and since yesterday the anti theft alarm goes off everytime about 20s after I have locked the car and walked away.
What could be the reason?
It's driving me nuts since it's super loud and I don't want to bother the entire street at night time.
Please help...
Hi all.
So for the last year I have had no issues until 3 days ago .
Connected my phone open Google maps and shows up on information system. If I press the mic button and say destination I get "Sorry something went wrong"
If I press the mike button on my phone and state destination it works...
Advice appreciated. All four tyres showed up as 'low tyre pressure' during a cold snap we had a couple of weeks ago (-4 or so). I didn't really need to use the car during this period so left it until we got back to 0 to 5 degrees (or thereabout) and then pumped them back up to the recommended...
Just replaced the m6 nut on the battery terminal with a M6 thredded knob that can be undone by hand without a spanner should the need arise. I then cable tied the original nut around the terminal so i didn't loose it. Means I can disconnect and reset the car without the need of a 10mm spanner...
Does anybody know which mobile network the MG5 uses for the remote iSMART communication?
Mine is working fine at home for pre-warming in the mornings but has stopped communicating parked at the office so I can’t check it’s still charging (chargers occasionally trip and then I can’t get home!)
Having had the car for 2 years and a ZS EV before that for a year I had never used the parking brake switch on either car until this last weekend. :)
I had always found the footbrake, Autohold and Park to cover all my needs for holding the car when stopped. However for some reason sat at lights...
Very nearly drove off with the Charge Flap open yesterday, it was only because a neighbour said something as I was pulling out that I noticed.
Kind of surprised the car didn't warn that this was the case, is there no sensor on the locking mechanism?
This is the pre-facelift 5
Hi all
Got the dreaded low battery yesterday. Not anything to do with the car but the key fob. Has anyone changed the battery in the actual key itself if so what battery was it and did you do it yourself.
TIA
Mick
