    Swapping wheels around

So whilst dodging a large rock jn the road ive managed to kerb my front left tyre and take a chunk out of the wall and scratch the alloy a little. I was going to replace the rear tyres at some point (Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2, if anyone has any opinions???). My plan is to take the...

    What does an MG4 remember?

Hello all, loving all your work and have been a voyeur of the forum for some time whilst making my buying decision. Picked up a Grey Trophy last week and so far so good apart from the normal stuff (I detest LKA...) Wondering if there is actually a list of what settings the car does remember...

    Would you recommend?

So I'm currently driving a Honda Civic and I've just started a new job as a community nurse and it's just too costly to run now. I can see the MG4 Long Range Trophy is very affordable via lease and I'm tempted to get one. However, I have seen so many negative post on the forum and it's...

Skoda Enyaq 80x as second family car

So I got the Skoda Enyaq 80x as our larger family car and I would say compared to our MG4 in most ways its a better car... but the app is quite poor, so the MG wins on the app and controlling the car remotely.

    Charging issue

For three years I have owned an electric car (Hyundai Ioniq) and have a Pod Point home charger. The Ioniq's scheduler occasionally failed (usually when you most needed it), so I found that the VERY reliable method was to use the scheduler in the Pod Point. So I would return home, plug the...

    Windscreen washer empty warning

Ok so I understand that if no water comes out of the jets it probably means I have run out of water. But! Is there no warning or sensor to say when it is low? Very common car feature I would have expected so was surprised when I was out of water.

To wave, or not to wave?

So while out in my MG4 I have come across other MG4 owners coming the other way. I've had Land Rovers and Volkswagens in the past (still do), and I'm used to giving other drivers a cheery wave. I've found myself doing the same with other MG4 owners. I'm yet to get a response back from any of...

Energy saving for the terminally dim

I was going to post this in someone else's thread, but then realised it would be an unjustifiable hijack. The story of how to get an electric car but make so much saving elsewhere that you find yourself in credit to the tune of £800 without a wall box or variable tariff. I was paying no...

    Phone charging - Trophy

When plugging my iPhone XR into a USB lead for Apple CarPlay I noticed it was charging the phone as expected. The phone was also sitting on the charging mat. It seemed to charge to 100% fairly quickly, which concerned me. Question :-- can the iPhone accept charging from both sources at once...

    Car insurance renewal

I'm now at the time to renew the insurance on my MG4, and am astounded by the increase. Last year the premium for my old MGZS EV was £274. When I got my new MG4 in November 2022 the premium was £283, and I was very happy with this. Because I tied this in with a multi car policy with my wife's...

    TPMS and cr@p valve access

Hello, Driving home last night I had a low tyre pressure warning light come on (was at 2.2 bar (32psi)). Got home and left the car for an hour to cool before refilling the tyres (37psi), however the tyre still reported 2.2 bar in both the instrument panel and the app. Powered off and on again...

    Wireless reversing-camera with mirror-view

I'm thinking of buying this kit for just over £100 on Amazon (currently £123-£15), it has a wireless camera that attaches above the numberplate, and a clip-over mirror that has an inbuilt screen. Has anyone fitted one? The only unknown is how easy it is to find the reversing-light live-cable...

    MG Dealers Ireland

When I order my MG4 in December 2022 (still waiting for it), the only MG dealers in Ireland (Republic) were based in and around Dublin. Since I live in the midlands (100+ miles from Dublin), this was one of the concerns I raised before placing the order. I was reassured that MG are planning to...

Replacement light sensor cover in situ

I've not seen anyone post a picture of this yet, so here's mine. It's one of the 3D printed versions, which I got from CrawfyP as he had a couple spare. I don't know what it was printed with, so I don't know how well the material will withstand heat and light, but it's damn good for a first...
