    Car seat organiser

The kids have been moaning about lack of cup holders in the back of our SE. I saw something similar on Amazon, and thought I can make that. So fired up the computer, and bashed this out on CAD, then printed it in PETG on my 3D printer. Clips to headrest and has a cup holder large enough for a...

    Thread re charging MG4 SR

Is there already one? Afternoon all. I’m so confused. How can the SR charge at a 150kw rate in 40 mins ? I don’t understand how when it’s only 50 and 117kw. Does that make sense? Tia

One Pedal Driving, how to use?

After a couple of weeks with my MG4, I love the Regen braking - the High setting really slows the car when I take my foot off the accelerator do the brake lights come on?), and I use the brake pedal gently for the last couple of feet, then a hard press on the brake to activate AutoHold. How...

    Xpower as a hot hatch

Don't know about you but I couldn't give a monkey's about where this particularly sterile debate ends up. It is or isn't a hot hatch depending on your chosen definition. That's all. And if the essence of a hot hatch is that it corners well at speed, fine but my question is then: how much time...

ABRP (A Better Route Planner) Range

We drove Warwick to Legoland Windsor and back yesterday in our MG4 Trophy . ABRP advised me it was a total of 167 miles, and that starting at 100%, we'd get home on 5%. Or we could charge in Bicester for 7 minutes, adding 20 minutes to the total journey time, to get home on 12%. What actually...

    Fuel economy 51kwh version

Just took a short 150km drive back and forth. Wow I'm impressed by the fuel economy of the car. End off the trip averaged getting 13.8 kWh/100 km Which equates to about 22 kWh/100 mile. Or 7.25 km/kWh Or 4.5 mile/kWh These figures beats ioniq5 fuel economy too according to the web. Wow this...

MG4 XPower. How did you get there?

Note to mods, not sure if I'm allowed to resurrect a post, but this is buried on page 46 of a 48 page thread and not sure many new to the forum readers would start on page 1 and continue to page 48 (Although I did!!?) So wanted to re post (with updates at the bottom)? Warning! Very Loooong...

Is this something I should go to dealer about? (Paint related issue)

I've never owned a new car before so I'm unsure but to me this feels like something that seems below par. My bonnet has 3 paint chips on it. I know this stuff happens but these are in three different places so they're not part of the same occurrence. This seems excessive for the 10 months Ive...

eCall SOS - terrible audio quality - garbled voices!

I had the bad luck to need to call the emergency services while driving earlier today. I thought it would be a good idea to use the car's eCall SOS button, because it automatically transmits basic details about the car's location and would also save me having to handle my phone while driving...

Things I love (or don’t) about my new MG4 – very subjective!

1 week old and 300 miles - some initial thoughts: GREAT 1 The lovely ‘Whoosh’ as the car accelerates! And instant torque, wow... 2 The looks: The front 100/100 The sides 95/100 The rear: 90/100 but love the red streaky lights on the rear spoiler! (just s a shame that you can't actually see them...

MG4 SE SR (Excite 51) one pedal & rear end ‘bump’ ?

I’ve noticed that going into ‘one pedal’, the rear drive (motor?) seems to ‘tighten up’ the drive train, trying To work out if it’s an effect of being in max regen in this mode. Once stationary and in ‘hold’ mode after about a minute the rear end seems to relax with a gentle bump. Feels like...
